Welcome to Roving Larder Cooking School

Where food, people, and stories come together 

Our Story

At Roving Larder, we believe that cooking is more than a skill - it's a shared language. Founded by Marie Clement, Roving Larder was born from one simple idea connection happens best around the table.
 

What started as a handful of intimate cooking workshops has grown into one of Sydney’s most inspiring culinary experiences — a place where corporate teams bond, families celebrate, and food lovers rediscover the joy of creating something together.

Located within the stunning heritage precinct at North Head, Manly, our school combines beautiful coastal surroundings with a warm, hands-on approach to cooking.
Every class or event is designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and laughter — whether it’s a corporate Cook & Dine session, a private celebration, or a collaboration with local chefs and producers.

Behind the Apron

Meet Marie Clément


Born in France and raised in kitchens where meals meant connection, Marie brings over 20 years of culinary and event experience.
Her background spans French patisserie, fine dining, and food education — but her passion has always been the same: helping people experience the joy of cooking together.

When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her developing new menus inspired by local ingredients, supporting community food projects, or sharing stories about the power of food to bring people together.

Tucked inside the tranquil North Head Sanctuary, our cooking school is part of a unique heritage precinct surrounded by ocean views and native bushland.
The venue features a fully equipped commercial kitchen, large communal dining space, and elegant French-inspired design — perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger group experiences.
