Please reach us at info@rovinglarder.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The easiest and fastest way to book a class is Online. Just follow the prompts that will lead you to your favourite class. It only takes a few clicks.
Or give us a call and we'll make all the arrangements.
Or face to face - either at the cooking school or at any promotional event, - we're happy to manage a booking for you.
By booking you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.
We design courses that anyone of any level can join. While someone new to the kitchen will find support as they manoeuvre through new techniques, the more seasoned cooks in our group will thrive on all the pointers we offer for further improvement.
We'll provide all the equipment you'll need but if you're participating in one of our hands-on classes, we must insist on having you wear closed-toed shoes.
Our terms and conditions give more guidance.
Everyone is encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the course start time. After we sign you in, we’ll take a few minutes to get to know each other before we begin.
Hands-on classes run with a minimum of 6 students and no more than 16 students.
Demonstration classes run with a minimum of 15 participants and no more than 30 students.
Experience has taught us that our regulars are joined by a constant stream of new students. You can expect a group of great diversity and experience - a mix of mostly locals, and travelers.
What we all share is our love for food and good company!
If you are food-obsessed and want to bring your cookery skills to a whole new level our courses are perfect for you.
Whether you are a complete novice or an accomplished amateur cook, our courses are designed to help you construct a well-rounded culinary foundation that will give you the tools and confidence to flourish in the kitchen.
Give us a call! We'll tell you how it works!
Yes. Don’t worry if you’re flying solo we’ll find you a partner in crime.!
In our practical sessions, everyone works in pairs meaning that you will be cooking at least with one of your friends. Let us know how many of you are joining us as we can accommodate up to 8 students at our main tuition island (a very VERY large island).
Everyone generally leaves us well-fed, but keep in mind that it takes time to whip up what we've planned, and if you are the hungry type, we recommend you eat something before you arrive at the school.
Please call or email us at info@rovinglarder.com.au. We'll have you on a waiting list and will e-mail you as soon as a spot is available.
Once your booking is confirmed, we don't generally give refunds or credits or reinstate used gift card value if you no longer are able or want to attend. You are more than welcome to send someone in your place (18 years or older). There's no extra cost for this so just give us a call and let us know who to expect and we'll take good care of them. Sometimes it’s also possible to change your booked class or course for another.
If this can't be arranged and you need to cancel, please take a look at our Terms and Conditions for details.
Occasionally it may be necessary for us to cancel a class or course. Reasons can include that
minimum student numbers have not been met, or our rostered chef is unwell.
For more detail please consult our Terms and Conditions
The school is always busy, with lots of people handling and using our equipment to prepare all food types. We cannot, and do not, guarantee that our environment is safe for those with food allergies or intolerances. This is the case even if you let us know about these, and even if we make adjustments for you. We rely in good faith on product labelling, which can be wrong or incomplete.
We do not have Epi-pens at the school. If in doubt, call us and discuss your needs, and if you are still in doubt, play it safe and don’t book.
For more information please consult our Terms and Conditions

Please alert us ASAP if any of the above applies to the attendee. Note that our course fees apply to each participant or attendee, regardless of age.
